On a movie set, the director blocks and directs the actors, the cinematographer lights and photographs the scene, and the production designer creates the world in which the story takes place - from the sets, to dressing the locations, to the design and look of the props. This world is created by the art department, which is led by the production designer. In this lesson, we're going to look at the duties and responsibilities of the production designer.
