From cinematographers, boom operators, costume designers, and production designers to property masters, hairstylists, grips, and assistant directors, there are many creative people involved in providing the technical and creative support to help you realize your vision.

Although the number of people listed in the credits of a Hollywood movie may seem extreme, each crew position is essential in the moviemaking process. In this module, you will learn the basic departments and crew positions on a Hollywood film.

Jason J. Jason’s DVD training series on Hollywood film production have trained filmmakers in over 40 countries, with distributors in Europe, Hong Kong, New York and Australia.
